Job Description
This position requires no prior experience only a desire to learn and receive on the job paid training. As a Field Installation Technician you are responsible for the installation and maintenance of equipment such as radios modems routers and cables. Our technicians use their troubleshooting skills on a daily basis to diagnose and solve problems. WeLink technicians are responsible for installing and maintaining equipment in a residential setting. This will require the technician to work on the rooftop ladder and inside the customers home. Basic networking knowledge is required for router configuration. Technicians will have direct contact with WeLink customers on a daily basis and must maintain a clean and professional appearance. This is an hourly position with full benefits company vehicle and tools provided by the company.
Experience/Qualifications
- Ability to comfortably work on/from a residential rooftop and from heights
- Climb ladder with equipment
- 6 months of similar experience preferred
- 6 months of customer service experience preferred
- Attention to detail and safety conscious
- Ability to safely lift 75 lbs
- Ability to properly use safety equipment
- Basic knowledge of the telecommunications industry is helpful
- Comfortable working with computers for troubleshooting purposes
- Satellite cable or telecommunications experience preferred
- Basic network troubleshooting experience preferred
- Valid Drivers License and no major moving violations for past 5 years (Will be operating a company vehicle)
- Must be 21 or older
- Must be open to working 10-6:30 schedule Tuesday- Saturday. March - October During winter it will be a 8 - 430 schedule
