Shift: Monday to Friday: 3:30pm 12:00am (40 hours/week)
Starting Wage: $39.02/hour ($47.63/hour after 4 months)
Description
The Diesel Mechanic inspects maintains diagnoses and repairs assigned on-/off-road and heavy duty equipment to ensure proper function and vehicle safety and meet quality and performance goals.
Responsibilities
-Diagnose and repair on- / off-road and heavy duty vehicles and equipment to meet preventative maintenance schedules ensure proper function and meet vehicle safety and quality goals
-Assist with entering data in the mechanics maintenance and repair database (e.g. Web Fleet Assistant (WFA))
-Communicates concerns or escalates unusually complex or persistent problems to the Foreman or other manager
-Responds to service calls for equipment breakdowns when no supervisor is available to assist in diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues arising from the Control Room Dispatch or Drivers
-Maintain a clean and safe work environment
Additional Responsibilities

-Prior experience with computerized maintenance systems & procedures
-Demonstrated ability to work alone in fast paced environment
-Team player
Education
-Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics license
Experience
-Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanics license
-Vaild Class 1 drivers license
-Clear drivers abstract that meets Purolators insurance requirements.
