Description
The Role
An exciting opportunity to join the team at Territory Surgical Supplies as the Purchasing Specialist. As one of the Northern Territorys primary healthcare product distributor this is a critical role that will manage and support the entire end to end purchasing process for all products. Working across teams and with external vendors this role is busy autonomous and no day is ever the same. Main duties and responsibilities will include;
- Creation placement and management of purchase orders with suppliers.
- Monitor incoming shipments to ensure goods meet expected ETAs and any delivery issues are resolved
- Work closely with the Operations team to resolve incoming purchase order issues such short supply incorrect supply and damaged stock
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels by reviewing sales order history to understandcustomer buying patterns so you can set and adjust stock levels and planning parameters in the ERP system.
- Communicate with vendors externally to ensure that SLAs are being met
Skills And Experiences

To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate:
- Prior experience in a similar role ie - purchasing administrator inventory administrator or similar
- Organised with a problem solving mindset
- Confident communicator who shows tenacity active listening and has a collaborative style
- Intermediate Excel skills - exposure to macros
