About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for aTrackworkerto join our Regional Assets Track team located at ourTownsvilledepot.
As a Trackworker you will be responsible for performing heavy manual labour duties including replacing railway sleepers and a variety of other track maintenance tasks.
This position is constantly in the field so you must be able to work in challenging weather conditions and high temperatures.
In this role you will:
- Assist in the repair and maintenance of the railway track
- Perform outdoor labouring duties throughout the region (including flood repair and other emergency work)
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and efficiently
About you
- Recent experience in a manual handling labouring or TA type role
- Drivers licence essential HC licence & excavator ticket advantageous
- Demonstrated commitment to safety
- Must have capacity to travel and work throughout regional Queensland
- Must have the flexibility to work some overtime and weekends when required
