Job Description

Registered Nurse Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (Permanent Role)

Location: Dallas TX 75246
Shift: 12 HR Nights 07:00 PM - 07:00 AM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
  • Perform comprehensive clinical assessments of neonates and prioritize patient and family needs.
  • Develop implement and evaluate individualized care plans; adjust interventions as needed to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families maintaining professionalism and empathy.
  • Educate patients families peers and community members on care practices and health literacy.
  • Regularly assess and document patient learning needs and progress.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team and community resources to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately while maintaining responsibility for patient outcomes.
  • Use evidence-based problem-solving strategies to support patient family and team needs.
  • Maintain a strong focus on safety effectiveness and efficiency in care delivery.
  • Contribute to professional development of peers and engage in community service and team initiatives.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong clinical knowledge of nursing standards patient care procedures and NICU-specific protocols.
  • Understanding of applicable state and federal nursing laws and hospital regulations.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology health promotion disease prevention medication safety and side effects.
  • Commitment to nursing ethics and patient confidentiality.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse patients families and healthcare team members.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Competency with basic computer applications including Microsoft Office EMR systems email and scheduling software.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing).
  • Valid RN license in the State of Texas.
  • BLS certification required (or must be obtained within 30 days of hire).
  • NICU nursing experience.
