Job Description

Registered Nurse Intensive Care Unit (Permanent Role)

Location: Grapevine TX 76051
Shift: 12 HR Days 07:00 AM - 07:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (36 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Functions:
  • Conduct detailed and accurate clinical assessments.
  • Prioritize and address patient and family needs through individualized care plans.
  • Implement and evaluate care strategies adjusting as needed for optimal patient outcomes.
  • Establish and maintain therapeutic relationships with patients and their families.
  • Advocate for patients by incorporating their values and beliefs into care planning.
  • Provide education to patients families and the community empowering informed healthcare decisions.
  • Regularly assess and document learning needs.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care.
  • Delegate responsibilities appropriately and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Utilize diverse problem-solving approaches in collaboration with staff patients and families.
  • Promote patient safety and efficiency in care delivery.
  • Contribute to a culture of teamwork professional development and community service.
Key Success Factors:
  • Strong knowledge of nursing standards patient care procedures and ICU protocols.
  • Familiarity with applicable nursing laws regulations and best practices.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology pharmacology and disease management.
  • Commitment to ethical practices and maintaining patient confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with patients families and team members.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude in high-pressure environments.
  • Basic computer literacy including EMR systems Microsoft Office and hospital applications.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing).
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtained within 30 days of hire.
  • Minimum of 1 years of recent ICU experience required.
