Job Description

Radiology/X-Ray Technologist (Permanent Role)

Location: Belton TX 76513
Shift: Variable 07:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Perform high-quality diagnostic radiographic procedures according to established exam protocols.
  • Maintain imaging quality standards and productivity by adhering to best practices and protocols.
  • Understand and manage radiation dose monitoring including actions for exceeding dose reference levels.
  • Utilize AIDET (Acknowledge Introduce Duration Explanation Thank You) to effectively communicate with patients and their families.
  • Educate and prepare patients for procedures including explaining steps and addressing concerns.
  • Position patients and imaging equipment accurately and safely for each examination.
  • Adhere to all radiation safety infection control and drug policy protocols.
  • Maintain sterile technique and hand hygiene during all procedures.
  • Keep equipment and examination rooms clean and in optimal working condition.
  • Collaborate with biomedical engineers and physicists for equipment calibration and functionality.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited Program in Radiologic Technology
  • Experience: (Less than 1 year of experience)
  • Certification/Licensure:
    • ARRT-R (Radiography) Required
    • Active Radiologic technologist license state of Texas
