Job Description
Location: Brenham TX 77833
Shift: 8 HR Days 08:00 AM - 05:00 PM
Guaranteed Hours: (40 hours/week)
Compensation: Based on experience (Negotiable)
- Perform specialty ultrasound procedures using proper techniques and equipment.
- Capture accurate measurements for high-quality diagnostic results.
- Identify abnormalities and extend exams beyond standard protocols as needed.
- Correlate findings with other diagnostics and assist in ultrasound-guided procedures.
- Prepare patients collect histories and explain procedures clearly.
- Maintain and troubleshoot ultrasound equipment and document records.
- Follow protocols for PACS EMR and workflow systems.
- Act as a resource to peers and contribute to quality and accreditation processes.
- Skilled in protocols for multiple ultrasound types.
- Certified in at least two specialties (e.g. Ob/Gyn Cardiac Vascular MSK Small Parts).
- Perform 25% of work in a second certified specialty.
- Proficient in advanced sonographic methods and anatomy.
- Knowledgeable in infection control and HIPAA.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Education:
- Graduate of an Accredited Sonography Program
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of multispecialty sonography experience
Certifications (Must have TWO certifications in separate specialties):
- ARDMS (RDMS): AB BR OB/GYN PS
- ARDMS (RDCS): AE FE PE
- ARDMS (RVT)
- ARDMS (RMSKS)
- ARRT (S VS BS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS): Required within 30 days of hire or transfer
