Job Description

Job Summary:

This role is for a CT Technologist responsible for performing a high volume of CT exams across various body parts and patient populations in a busy Emergency Department setting. The technologist will utilize Siemens equipment and EPIC/Visage systems adhering to established protocols and collaborating with the healthcare team. Experience with trauma patients and specific CT procedures is required.
Location: Winston Salem North Carolina United States
Responsibilities:
- Perform approximately 200 CT exams daily across various body parts (abdomen pelvis head/neck chest spine musculoskeletal CTAs).
- Administer IV starts and contrast.
- Utilize PACS system.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Participate in Sunday call coverage (1-2 Sundays per contract).
- Adhere to all safety protocols including proper use of dosimeters.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team and document patient care appropriately.
- Participate in unit orientation as directed by the supervisor.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a CT Technologist with experience in a trauma setting.
- Experience in inpatient ER and Adult ICU settings.
- Proficiency in IV starts PACS and contrast administration.
- Experience with Siemens CT scanners.
- Proficiency with Abdomen Pelvis Head/Neck Chest Spine Musculoskeletal and CTA CT procedures.
- Current BLS certification.
- ARRT certification with CT registration.
- Travel experience as a CT Technologist is required (first-time travelers will not be accepted).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Outpatient experience.
- Level I Trauma and NICU experience.
- Biopsy experience.
- Experience with brain perfusion and multiplanar reconstruction.
Special Considerations:
- 12-hour mid shifts (10:30 PM - 10:30 AM) Wednesday-Friday.
- Sunday call is required (1-2 Sundays per contract).
- No float requirement.
- Travelers must bring their own dosimeter (any brand).
- Unit uses Landauer brand dosimeters.
- Contracts are available for 13-20 weeks.
- 36 hours per week may be offered.
- RTO after booking is not allowed. Call-offs or additional RTO may result in contract cancellation.
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays or 4 out of 7 specified holidays (approval required per unit).
- Orientation is at the CT Supervisors discretion; missing any portion may delay or cancel the start date. Start date is subject to change based on training availability. Travelers must be fully available with no other commitments during the first week.

Scheduling:
- 12-hour mid shifts (10:30 PM - 10:30 AM) Wednesday-Friday.
- Schedule is created by the supervisor based on unit needs.
- Sunday call is required (1-2 Sundays per contract).
