Job Summary:
This role is for a CT Technologist responsible for performing a high volume of CT exams across various body parts on diverse patient populations within a busy Emergency Department setting. The technologist will utilize Siemens equipment and EPIC/Visage systems adhering to established protocols and collaborating with the healthcare team. Experience with inpatient ER and adult ICU settings is required along with specific CT procedure experience.
Location: Winston Salem North Carolina United States.
Responsibilities:
- Perform approximately 200 CT exams daily across various body parts (abdomen pelvis head/neck chest spine musculoskeletal CTAs).
- Administer IV starts and utilize PACS and contrast media.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care.
- Maintain and clean equipment.
- Participate in unit orientation as directed by the supervisor.
- Adhere to all safety protocols including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Respond to and address any equipment malfunctions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience (depending on trauma experience).
- Required travel experience (first-time travelers not accepted).
- Inpatient ER and Adult ICU experience.
- IV starts PACS and contrast experience.
- CT procedure experience (abdomen pelvis head/neck chest spine musculoskeletal CTAs).
- BLS certification.
- ARRT certification (with specific CT registration).
- Active state license.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Outpatient Level I Trauma and NICU experience.
- Biopsy experience.
- Brain perfusion and Multiplanar Reconstruction experience.
Special Considerations:
- 12-hour midshift (Friday-Sunday).
- No call requirement.
- No float requirement.
- Travelers must bring their own dosimeter (any brand).
- Royal blue scrubs required.
- 13-20 week contracts available.
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays or 4 out of 7 specified holidays (approval per unit). RTO after booking is not allowed.
- Missing any portion of orientation may result in a delayed or canceled start.
Scheduling:
- 12-hour shifts Friday-Sunday (9:30 AM - 9:30 PM).
- Schedule created by supervisor based on unit needs.
- Start date based on Novants schedule but subject to change. Travelers may start Wednesday Thursday or Friday of the first week.
