Job Description
- Title: Fabrication Associate
- Location: Groveport OH 43125
- Shift hours : Mon-Fri 6am to 3-4pm with 1/2 unpaid lunch
- Pay Rate: $21/hour on W2
Job Description:
Must haves:
- 6 months recent Machine operation background
- Ability to use and understand tape measures.
- Use of Gauges for quality checks-listed on the resume.
Responsibilities:
- Move loose or bundled pipe within the shop and yard.
- Assemble pipe orders (single sticks or bundles) and maintain organized work supplies.
- Follow safety precautions for fabricating cutting assembling stacking and shipping pipe.
- Operate powered industrial equipment per OSHA guidelines and Ferguson procedures.
- Set up and maintain machines for pipe fabrication.
- Measure record and add random pipe lengths accurately.
- Measure and cut pipe using band saws or torches.
- Thread and bevel pipe using Landis machines.
- Inspect and maintain forklift equipment.
Qualifications:
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
- Strong math skills for calculating product quantities.
- Knowledge of safe work practices in the pipe yard.
- Experience with machinery for cutting and threading pipe (training provided).
- Results-focused in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of reading a tape measure accurately.
- Good computer skills for automated machinery.
