About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead AI/GenAI Architect to guide the architecture and implementation of Generative AI applications and systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building end-to-end AI solutions using foundational models vector databases and modern AI pipelines. You will lead a team of engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver scalable high-impact GenAI products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and define GenAI solution architecture including:
- Model selection and fine-tuning strategies
- Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines
- Vector database integration
- Prompt engineering workflows
- Lead the design and development of robust scalable Generative AI applications.
- Collaborate with Data Scientists MLOps teams Cloud Engineers and Product Managers to ensure safe secure and compliant AI deployments.
- Deploy ML models from development to production and support ongoing troubleshooting and optimization.
- Rapidly develop and iterate on Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) in a dynamic environment.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to a team of 7 8 engineers.
- Communicate technical updates and architecture decisions clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Identify and solve complex architecture and infrastructure challenges proactively.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 5 years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python.
- Advanced proficiency in:
- Data engineering principles
- SQL and database design
- API development (FastAPI preferred)
- Hands-on experience with:
- Apache Kafka
- Snowflake (or similar data platforms)
- ML engineering and production model deployment
- GenAI frameworks (LangChain PyTorch or equivalent)
- Cloud AI platforms (preferably GCP Vertex AI)
- Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle testing deployment and operational best practices.
- Strong communication and collaborative skills.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments and adapt to changing requirements.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with:
- Java development (including Spring Boot and Java APIs)
- dbt (Data Build Tool)
- JavaScript and front-end development
- Familiarity with multiple cloud platforms especially GCP and AWS.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in computer science Engineering or a related field.
- Additional certifications in AI/ML software architecture or cloud platforms are a plus.
