Business Unit/Function: Global Product Supply / Supply Chain
Location: Kuala Lumpur
Job Purpose:
The Senior Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for providing essential supply chain support across various business units. This role focuses on optimizing warehouse operations managed by third-party logistics (3PL) providers and overseeing distributor relationships ensuring seamless product flow and service performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Order & Shipment Coordination: Provide crucial information and coordination support to internal departments (including warehousing and business units) for customer order management and tracking of incoming shipments.
Planning & Forecasting: Facilitate and conduct monthly Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) meetings with respective business units focusing on reviewing and enhancing forecast accuracy. Ensure all forecasting data is accurately updated in relevant systems.
Order & Procurement Processing: Process distributor orders efficiently and prepare purchase orders for manufacturing plants ensuring alignment with supply plans.
Performance Reporting: Generate and distribute monthly reports to relevant internal and external stakeholders providing insights into supply chain performance.
Inventory & Service Balancing: Collaborate with sales marketing and suppliers to strategically balance inventory levels with service performance across diverse product categories.
Supply Assurance: Ensure timely and adequate supply of products to meet commercial and business requirements.
Process Optimization: Continuously identify and implement improvements in planning and forecasting processes to enhance efficiency and responsiveness.
Logistics Monitoring: Closely monitor shipment statuses with source and local forwarders to ensure on-time delivery to warehouses.
Warehouse Operations Oversight: Verify that 3PL providers complete goods receipt (GR) and saleable processes within defined key performance indicators (KPIs).
Compliance & Quality: Ensure all supply chain activities comply with company standard operating procedures policies and relevant regulatory requirements.
Inventory Control: Oversee stock count cycles and reconciliation processes with 3PL partners. Proactively flag slow-moving or obsolete inventory to commercial teams for appropriate action.
Invoice & Customs Management: Process and track invoices for freight forwarders import/export brokers and transportation service providers. Manage customs clearance agencies and assist with document preparation as needed.
Ad-hoc Support: Perform other related tasks as assigned to support overall supply chain objectives.
Qualifications & Experience:
Education: Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management Logistics Business Administration or a related field.
Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel Word PowerPoint).
Language Skills: Fluent in both spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Professional Experience:
Minimum of 4 years of experience in supply chain logistics planning or related operational roles.
Preferred experience working with 3PL providers and managing distributors.
Familiarity with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems (e.g. SAP Oracle) and forecasting tools (e.g. JDA).
Core Competencies:
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and coordination skills enabling effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a dynamic environment.
Solid understanding of inventory management principles order processing workflows and warehouse operations.
