About the Role

Sibylline is looking for a Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) Supervisor to join our team embedded within a clients corporate security function. This role is onsite in South San Francisco swing shift (15:00-23:00) Sunday Thursday. Reporting directly to the GSOC Manager the GSOC Supervisor will be responsible for day-to-day this role you will be managing a team of analysts identifying and assessing threats and trends impacting the client and supporting the GSOC manager in the development of the program. The successful candidate will be an intelligence practitioner who has a passion for analysis problem-solving and informing decision-makers. 

Duties & Responsibilities

Essential functions of the role include but are not limited to:

  • Training and onboarding of new analysts
  • Run weekly drills documenting any successes failures and process improvement
  • Provide ongoing training to Analysts ensuring the team is tracking new process changes
  • Take ownership of pulling monthly metrics and updating metrics documentation
  • Project work as needed to support the program and GSOC Manager
  • Act as the lead point of contact during incident management. Comfortably communicate with high level stakeholders
  • Maintain a high level of accuracy and professionalism in all communication
  • Maintain high level expertise of routine operations able to provide guidance and explain nuanced situations to the team
  • Provide insight into ongoing process and program improvements
  • Commitment to developing our analyst team both in client operations and general professional development
  • Provide operational coverage for analysts as needed
  • Cover shifts to ensure 24/7 staffing if necessary
  • Participate in the on-call schedule
  • Quality check the work of analysts on your shift including incident reports written communications safety checks etc.
  • Monitor all-source information to proactively identify and assess threats as well as highlight emerging trends that may impact the client.
  • Respond to critical incidents rapidly research and deliver information in a clear and concise format.

Qualifications :

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Bachelors degree in political science international relations security studies or a related field (preferred but not required if candidate has equivalent work experience).
  • 3 years in a corporate security environment.
  • A general understanding of the working of a global security operations center.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to clearly communicate risk to stakeholders in a concise format.
  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential information.
  • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Strong analytic oral and written presentation skills to include the ability to deliver communications cantered on the target audience.
  • Advanced proficiency in Web-based social media platforms search tools productivity applications and communication technology.

Preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of open-source social media and public records search techniques.
  • 2 years of people management experience
  • Ability to be aware of and work through cognitive bias that may impact assessment.
  • Experience with threat assessment tools and structured professional judgment guides for targeted violence risk.
  • Experience with Everbridge Ontic Jira and Google Suite
