The Senior Electrical Engineer has a thorough understanding of the development and field implementation of Electrical documents through all project phases sizes and levels of complexity. The successful candidate possesses the ability to coordinate with internal and external parties manage multiple complex tasks establish priorities and direct the work of others. This position may work independently or at the direction of the Lead Electrical Engineer or Project Manager. The position will be required to manage and direct electrical design staff to meet client expectations and project goals.
The Senior Electrical Engineer focuses on the design and engineering of power lighting grounding/bonding special systems (e.g. telephone/ data security fire alarm) raceway cable tray and other electrical control and building support systems into the built work environment. The successful candidate possesses demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex tasks establish priorities and direct the work of others. This position will coordinate with internal and external architects and engineers as well as clients construction managers subcontractors vendors and manufacturers. Typical tasks and deliverables that are executed by or under the supervision of the Senior Electrical Engineer include power load illumination short circuit and voltage drop calculations; basis of design reports; code evaluations; one-line diagrams; plans; schedules; installation details; specifications; and coordination with manufacturers and construction trade partners. The successful candidate possesses the ability to provide mentoring and training on advanced electrical design and engineering topics. Project work includes directing design activities for all levels of design such as studies conceptual and schematic design design development construction documentation and construction administration.
