Eaglecrest Ski Area - Alaskas Best Kept Secret is Hiring!

We are looking for qualified individuals to fill our Eaglecrest Summer Labor (Trail Crew Worker) positions.


The CBJ Assembly has requested a standard salary review for Eaglecrest positions.

Final salaries will be confirmed following approval by the Eaglecrest Board and the CBJ Assembly.


WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are looking for hard-working individuals that are not afraid of manual labor and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions. Experience operating chainsaws brush cutters and heavy machinery is a plus but not mandatory. The most important skills are being reliable on time and bringing a positive attitude to the workplace.

WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION

This position works four 10-hour shifts Monday through Thursday 7:00am-5:30pm during the summer season at Eaglecrest Ski Area.

Typical Responsibilities

The Eaglecrest Summer Trail Crew Worker is under the direct supervision of the Mountain Safety Manager.

The incumbent is responsible for assisting the trail maintenance crew in conducting summer projects that include but are not limited to; ski hike and mountain bike trail maintenance and construction involving manual labor operating power and hand tools machinery and performing minor mechanical work on power tools and work-related equipment.

The incumbent will be assisting Mountain Operations staff with lite construction on various Capital Improvement Projects at the direction of the Mountain Safety Manager.

The incumbent must be able to work outside in varied terrain and weather conditions. This position is designed to work in summer season and works 40 hours per week.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:

No education required

Experience:

Must be at least 18 years of age at time of appointment.

Previous lift operator experience is preferred but not required.

Ability to operate front-end loader is preferred but not required.

Some carpentry experience is preferred but not required.

License/Certification:

Must possess a valid Drivers license at time of appointment and for continued employment.
