Job Description
Requirements:
- The ability to work safely and efficiently while at times working independently.
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- 3 years of related experience
- Strong computer skills (Excel Word etc.).
- Strong communications skills (verbal and written).
- Valve maintenance experience a plus.
- Experience as a pipe fitter welder etc. a plus.
- AMPP/NACE CP1 Certification Required.
- Service Truck will be provided current valid Drivers License required.

Job Overview:
Linde is seeing qualified applicants for our Pipeline Maintenance and CP Technician role. The successful candidate will be based out of the Pipeline Operations office in La Porte position will primarily repair and maintain pipelines and equipment associated with the operation of Linde gas pipelines along the Texas Gulf Coast candidate will use preventive and predictive maintenance practices to champion continuous improvements to Linde Pipeline system.
Primary Duties Include:
- Inspect operate and maintain gas transmission pipelines as well as associated equipment in a reliable / efficient manner in accordance with company guidelines policies and procedures.
- Install or oversee pipeline coatings and wrap application to aboveground pipelines.
- Complete and process work orders.
- Assist with pipeline right of ways (ROW) maintenance activities; includes but not limited to signage mowing weed control and other required task.
- Actively participate in safety programs and initiatives.
- Assist Pipeline Technicians with commissioning and decommissioning of pipelines.
- Annual CP Potential Surveys and reporting
- Assist in repairing CP deficiencies
Other Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct Damage Prevention activities including pipeline patrols one-calls locating and marking of pipelines inspecting line crossings excavations and other activities affecting the pipeline system.
- Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements perform required tasks and complete associated documentation (PHMSA/TXRRC).
- Project support audit support and interfacing with customers plant personnel and third parties.
- 10-25% travel per month or as required helping support efforts in other remote areas.
Working Conditions:
- Must be able to move about on foot and follow safety and emergency response procedures.
- Requires ability to work outdoors in extreme weather and near equipment with potentially high noise levels.
- Must be able to work around different surface conditions.
