Job Summary

Support the Air Force Laboratory (AFRL) Sensors Directorate Electro Optics (EO)/Infrared (IR) Technologies branch to help advance R&D efforts in the field of EO/IR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct basic electrical and optical studies of semiconductor devices and semiconductor device materials for emerging electronic photonic and optoelectronic technologies.

  • Will measure and analyze TDH data of Si-doped b-Ga2O3 thin films grown by pulsed laser deposition on substrates of semi-insulating Fe-doped b-Ga2O3. measure and analyze TDH data of ScN and AlScN thin films grown on sapphire and GaN by dc sputtering and possibly by pulsed laser deposition and MOCVD.

  • Travel Requirements: None
  • Working Hours: Standard

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelors degree
  • 2 to 4 years of research experience in a laboratory environment
  • Experience operating Hall-Effect systems
  • Able to work in a team setting
