The Music Department at the University of San Diego housed within the College of Arts and Sciences is dedicated to providing exceptional undergraduate music education within a vibrant liberal arts context. We offer a comprehensive Music major with emphases in Performance Teaching & Learning Composition Theory and History & Culture. Position Summary: Teach class guitar primarily for beginning students and private applied guitar lessons to students of varied levels. An ideal candidate will have experience teaching beginning and more advanced students in classical and additional styles ( jazz rock etc.) This position also requires the instructor to work closely with the department chair operations manager and applied area as needed.
Work Schedule: Tuesdays 12:15-2:15pm (class guitar) and applied students as arranged by the instructor which consists of ten 50-minute lessons per semester per enrollment.

Degree Verification Requirement: Persons offered employment in this position will be required to provide official education transcripts for degree verification purposes.
Masters degree or significant professional experience required.
$2227.65-$2265/unit
The salary range provided in this posting reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Actual compensation offered or earned is dependent on experience education and other factors including departmental budget.
