About the Role
As the Perioperative Clinical Nurse Educator you will work closely with Clinical Nurse Managers to identify learning needs and deliver high-quality education programs. You will lead staff development within the perioperative team using innovative teaching strategies and evidence-based practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and uphold the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Launceston
- Identify learning needs and objectives for individuals and groups
- Design implement and evaluate clinical education programs in collaboration with the Education Manager
- Deliver adult-learning-based clinical education and reflective practice
- Provide mentorship and support for new staff members
- Develop learning packages and competencies for perioperative units
- Collaborate with clinicians company representatives and healthcare professionals to enhance educational programs
- Support organisational change and review of relevant policies
- Incorporate current research and evidence-based practices into education
- Assist with mandatory training activities
- Foster clear effective communication across all levels of the organisation
What You Bring
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Postgraduate qualifications in education or relevant clinical area (highly desirable)
- Demonstrated ability to effectively teach mentor and support nursing staff
- Minimum 5 years of post-registration experience in a perioperative setting (Theatre PACU or Anaesthetics)
- Proven interpersonal and leadership skills
