**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team at Bayou Chateau Nursing Center. The ideal candidate will provide excellent patient care under the supervision of nursing staff ensuring the comfort and well-being of our patients while assisting with their daily activities and healthcare needs.

**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist patients with daily living activities including bathing dressing grooming eating and mobility.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure temperature and pulse and report any changes to nursing staff.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients to enhance their quality of life.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients and staff adhering to infection control guidelines.
- Document patient care activities accurately and timely in compliance with facility policies.
- Support nursing staff with patient care tasks and other clinical duties as needed.
- Communicate effectively with patients families and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.

**Qualifications:**
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in Louisiana.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a CNA is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to handle physical demands including lifting and transferring patients.
- Basic knowledge of healthcare procedures terminology and safety protocols.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
