Assembler Patio Stock

Location: 4005 Newpoint Pl Lawrenceville GA 30043

Shift: Hiring Immediately!

1st shift: Mon-Fri 5:30AM-2:00PM

Pay: Starting at $21.00

Overview

Assemblers will be working on special assigned production lines and will be required to follow SOP for specific job assignment. The specials assembler will work on special orders that require more attention to detail and are required to meet specific deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Verify materials being used is correct by reading the bill of materials
  • Ensure materials meet quality expectations
  • Label units as needed
  • Door assembly is more complex and higher-level skill is needed
  • Ensure quality is met
  • Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies and complete units
  • Tests and calibrates parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
  • Verifies that components are placed in the correct position per SOP
  • Repeat tasks until assigned other duties
  • Cleans up work area when shift ends
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work independently and effectively in a team environment
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills and basic math skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail a must
  • Strong analytical skills & knowledge of all door components
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to multi-task
  • Read and understand bill of materials
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Efficient with multiple manual machines and pneumatic equipment such as Nail Gun Screw Gun Router Tape Measure Square
  • May involve some repetitive motions - bending stooping squatting pushing and pulling of parts and part containers and standing for long periods of time.
  • Ability to organize and maintain detailed records
  • Due to the open environment of the facility must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat humidity and cold
  • Regular attendance and timeliness is an essential function of the job in order to avoid having any disruptions in production and customer service.
  • Follow all operational and safety SOPs as written

Qualifications

  • Ability to speak read and write English with proficiency
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred not required
  • 1-2 Years in the field or related area
  • Requires an understanding of quality door construction standards and the use of proper assembly techniques
  • Prior door manufacturing or wood working experience needed.
