Description

We have a new Senior Claims Adjuster role available to work within the London Chubb Global Markets Property Claims team ensuring accurate assessment and proactive management of claims from the beginning to the end of their lifecycle. This should be carried out in accordance with the conditions of the cover CHUBB Policy and Procedures and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for internal and external customers.

You will be required to Independently handle a varied portfolio ofNorth American property claims written under Open Market and Binding Authoritieswithin agreed pre-agreed authority limits.

We are looking for a team playerproviding such support as required by other members of the team and fully participates in individual and shared project work.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accurately assess and evaluate a high volume of technically complex North American Property claims written under Open Market & Binding Authorities.
  • Effectively manage a high volume of claim files. Investigate analyse and apply policy coverage accurately to all assigned claims. Reserve claims accurately in accordance with Company guidelines and best practices. Negotiate and settle claims proactively in accordance with Lloyds/Company guidelines and best practices. Always ensure that Chubb service standards are upheld.
  • Identify complaints and recognise customer expressions of dissatisfaction to ensure such customers issues are handled or escalated in a timely accurate manner and in accordance with the agreed Complaints Policy and Procedures.
  • Instruct liaise with and manage external vendors. Monitor the quality and cost of their services ensuring the required technical and applicable service standards are met.
  • Ensure personal adherence and continually maintain and update own knowledge of CHUBB Policy and Procedures and regulatory authority requirements. Demonstrate personal knowledge and awareness of compliance requirements and take personal responsibility for adherence to regulatory and compliance control mechanisms that are in place.
  • Maintain and develop both own technical knowledge and expertise and CHUBB behavioural competencies in accordance with agreed personal development process.
  • Support maintain and develop contact with key internal and external relationships to include Underwriting Actuarial Broker and Key Customer Accounts for issues such as late notification of claims case progress and issuing specific insured requirements within SLAs.
  • To support and develop the team by conducting regular peer audit reviews
  • Undertake all other duties as reasonably required by Property Claims Team Manager that are applicable to this role.


Qualifications
  • ACII qualification (or progress toward) is preferred but not essential.
  • In-depth knowledge of property claims management
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements
