Job Description
The Hamilton-Wenham Regional School District is searching for a Special Education Teaching Assistant at the Winthrop Elementary School. The successful candidate will provide support within a specialized classroom setting and inclusive settings. Candidate must have the ability to be flexible work as part of a team and exhibit strong communication skills. Preference will be given to candidates experienced with cognitive impairment and social-emotional disabilities. Familiarity with ABA practices and CPI DUTIES:Note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job. Duties responsibilities and activities may change at any time with or without AND REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors Degree required;Two years of relevant experience preferred;Ability to lift and position up to 50 pounds required;Ability to actively participate in classroom activities that may require bending lifting and floor time required;Ability to support and assist with basic life and self-care skills including but not limited to feeding toileting and hygiene required;Ability to work as part of a team required;Flexibility creativity and adaptability required.
