Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced full-time Multi-Modality Radiologic Technologist to join our imaging this role you will be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic imaging procedures across multiple modalitiesincluding but not limited to X-ray CT and/or MRI/Mammographywhile ensuring patient safety and comfort. The ideal candidate is ARRT-certified in multiple disciplines demonstrates strong clinical judgment and is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Perform diagnostic procedures in CT X-ray MRI Mammography and/or Fluoroscopy following strict imaging protocols and physician orders.
  2. Ensure patient safety by:
    1. Verifying patient identity and procedure.
    2. Conducting pre-exam screenings for contraindications (e.g. metal implants allergies to contrast).
    3. Explaining procedures clearly to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation.
    4. Applying ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles for radiation exposure.
    5. Monitoring patients during and after procedures for any adverse reactions.
  3. Accurately document imaging procedures and patient data in the electronic medical record and report any safety incidents or deviations.
  4. Ensure cleanliness and readiness of exam rooms and assist in infection control measures.
  5. Maintains education knowledge and training required to provide up-to-date quality care to patients and to stay current with CEU requirements as required by the ARRT.
  6. Adhere to all regulatory standards including HIPAA ALARA and OSHA guidelines.
  7. Participate in working variable shifts in the department to include weekends and holidays.
  8. Possess the ability to react objectively using good judgment in crisis situations and on specific issues.
  9. Operate and maintain complex imaging equipment troubleshooting as needed.
  10. Performs all other related duties as assigned.

License/Registration/Certification Required:

  1. Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or Registry eligible (ARRT must be obtained prior to starting as Technologist).
  2. Current BLS certification required

Experience and Skills:

  1. Working knowledge of anatomy required.
  2. Knowledge of methods of exposure to obtain the required images using the ALARA principle and be able to set up and operate equipment is required.
  3. Working knowledge of contrast media is required.
  4. Sufficient knowledge of patient care and sterile techniques to deal with all types of conditions required.
  5. CT/MRI/Mammography experience preferred but not required.
