Use your skills experience and talents to be a part of groundbreaking thinking and visionary goals. As a Sr. Engineer youll lead application-level technical configuration coding and design.
This position will support a product that will use a hybrid of open source and SAP technologies. SAP S/4 is currently predominantly leveraged for finance and sales audit processes at Target. Come use your SAP experience and love of all technologies to implement additional core modules expand the use of SAC and be a part of implementing and adopting emerging SAP solutions. Evaluate and participates in best for Target decision-making accounting for several factors such as viability within Targets diverse technical environment maintainability and cost of ownership. Initiate and execute research and proof-of-concept activities for best practice implementation options of SAP that align with Targets overall technical strategies. Lead or set strategy for testing and debugging at the platform or full solution complex and unstructured situations serve as an expert resource to create and improve standards and best practices to ensure high-performance scalable repeatable and secure deliverables.Lead the design lifecycle management and total cost of ownership of services.Provide the team with thought leadership to promote re-use and develop consistent scalable patterns that aligns with the broader SAP at Target patterns. Participate in planning services that have enterprise impact. Provide suggestions for handling routine and moderately complex technical problems escalating issues when appropriate.Gather information data and input from a wide variety of sources; identify additional resources when appropriate engage with appropriate stakeholders and conduct in-depth analysis of information.Provide suggestions for handling routine and moderately complex technical problems escalating issues when appropriate to the internal SAP Enterprise team and at times collaborating directly with SAP contacts. Develop plans and schedules estimate resource requirements and define milestones and deliverables.Monitor workflow and risks; play a leadership role in mitigating risks and removing obstacles. Lead and participate in complex construction automation and implementation activities ensuring successful implementation with architectural and operational requirements met.Work with the broader group of SAP engineers to establish and enforce SAP standards and best practices to monitor test automate and maintain IT components or systems. Stay current with Targets technical capabilities infrastructure and technical environment.Develop fully attributed data models including logical physical and canonical. Influence data standards policies and procedures. Install configure and/or tune end to end processes within SAP including master data integrations and analytic aspects with minimal guidance.Monitor data management solution(s) and identify optimization opportunities.

About you:
4 year degree or equivalent experience
7 years of software development experience with at least one full cycle implementation
Demonstrates strong domain-specific knowledge regarding Targets technology capabilities and key competitors products and differentiating features
Communicates and coordinates with project team partners and stakeholders
Demonstrates expertise in analysis and optimization of systems capacity performance and operational health
Understands and develops solutions to foster data lifecycle management
Maintains deep technical knowledge within areas of expertise
Stays current with new and evolving technologies via formal training and self-directed education
Experience withat least a combination of 3the following SAP technologies:
Sales and Distribution (SD): Manages the entire sales process including order management pricing shipping and billing.
Materials Management (MM): handles procurement related to TPO (third party order) vendor management and potential inventory control.
OData integrations: API level integrations for sales order purchase orders wholesale price and item data.
Finance (FI): Manages financial accounting including general ledger accounts payable and accounts receivable.
SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP): Needed for possible future growth onto SAPs Cloud for integrations and analytics
Experience in building highly scalable distributed systems
This position will operate as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Targets needs. A Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement means the team members core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually depending upon what your role team and tasks require for that day.
