Job Description
This role requires a hybrid schedule and will be based in our South Charlotte NC Headquarters (Monday through Thursday) and work fully remotely on Fridays each week.
We are seeking anAssociateProduct Designerto join our growing creative team. Youll play an instrumental role in scaling our consumer-facing experiences for a large and diverse audience. You will join the team in launching and iterating experiences focused on helping customers compare and be matched with their homes best internet option in the most simple and accurate way possible. The content we write and the products wedesign include location-based broadband information streamlined connections to potential providers plan comparisons and more. This role calls for a passionate individual who has high attention to detail understandsdesign systems and workflows and is skilled in interface & interaction design.
What Youll Do:
- Deliver highly-polishedvisual designsand extend existingdesignsystems
- Think systematically to optimizeUX/UIpatterns for ease of use followingdesignsystem guidelines
- Develop subject-matter expertise understand user problems business goals how competitors solve them and where gaps exist
- Partner with product managers engineers researcherscontent designto oversee the experience from concept to launch
- Effectively balance user needs and business goals
- Assist and support teammates through collaboration critique and feedback
- Buildprototypesto validate your designs then iterate and innovate based on data and findings.
- Be autonomous crave accountability and take responsibility for every detail every step of the way
What were Looking For:
- 1 years designing consumer-focused tech across various platforms (web mobile apps etc)
- You have a killer portfolio that demonstrates a highly-polished visualdesignsense a clean command over interactiondesign typography and usability
- Youre fluent inFigma and feel comfortable creatingprototypesand working withindesignsystems.
- Youre a strong communicator and collaborator who is inspired to deliver great work and bring a strategy to life
- You are always looking to grow your abilities through feedback and collaboration
- You are proactive with strongtime-managementskills taking initiative for what needs to be done rather than waiting for instructions
- You enjoy staying flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing environment

- You have a strong desire for self-improvement and growing your knowledge in your focus area

- Have some level of utility / home services industry knowledge (internet electricity digital entertainmentHVAC smart tech)
- Understand the utility needs and purchase lifecycle of a homeowner or renter
- Haveanimationand branding experience
- Familiarity with SEO best practices

Compensation:
Cash Compensation Range: $26.44/hr - $36.06/hr*
*Note actual salary is based on geographic location qualifications and experience.
