Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and technically proficient BIM/Revit Manager to lead and manage all Building Information Modeling (BIM) activities within our Mechanical and Electrical (M&E) consulting engineering practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing BIM standards workflows and quality control processes across a range of building services projects including commercial institutional residential and industrial sectors.



Key Responsibilities

1. BIM Strategy & Leadership

Develop implement and maintain BIM standards protocols and project execution plans.

Lead the adoption of BIM technologies and digital processes across M&E design teams.

Provide strategic input on BIM-related initiatives and innovation.


2. Project Oversight

Oversee BIM/Revit production for M&E disciplines (HVAC Plumbing Fire Protection Electrical Lighting etc.).

Ensure coordination and clash detection is effectively carried out between disciplines and with architectural/structural models.

Monitor project model progress quality and compliance with client and company standards.


3. Software & Technology Management

Manage software tools including Revit MEP Navisworks AutoCAD and other design-related software.

Evaluate and deploy BIM-related plug-ins and productivity tools (e.g. Dynamo BIM 360 Revit add-ins).

Ensure that all software licenses are properly managed and up-to-date.


4. Staff Training & Development

Provide training mentoring and support to Revit technicians and engineering staff.

Develop and update BIM training manuals and conduct onboarding for new team members.


5. Collaboration & Communication

Work closely with project managers engineers and external consultants to ensure BIM deliverables meet requirements.

Facilitate BIM coordination meetings and model review sessions.





Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Experience

Bachelor s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Architecture or a related field.

Minimum 7 years of experience in a similar BIM/Revit role within a consulting engineering environment.

Experience delivering BIM Level 2 projects is essential.


Technical Skills

Expert in Autodesk Revit MEP Navisworks Manage AutoCAD.

Proficiency in BIM 360 ACC and clash detection workflows.

Familiarity with Dynamo scripting or automation is an asset.


Soft Skills

Strong leadership and communication abilities.

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and consistency.

Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
