Job Description


Turner & Townsend is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our San Francisco Bay area Project Management team and oversee complex capital projects across multiple sectors including commercial real estate corporate interiors healthcare facilities and data centers. This role combines strategic program oversight with hands-on construction management supporting a key technology client in achieving its financial and operational goals.
 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead multiple large-scale projects across real estate healthcare and mission-critical environments.
  • Develop and manage project plans budgets schedules and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure alignment with client goals and track performance using KPIs and metrics.
  • Oversee design construction and closeout phases across diverse project types.
  • Conduct site visits to monitor progress quality and safety compliance.
  • Supervise multidisciplinary teams including architects engineers and contractors.
  • Provide technical guidance on cost control constructability and value engineering.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Build strong relationships with property managers healthcare administrators and technical teams.
  • Communicate project updates and strategy to senior leadership.
  • Support readiness assessments and stage gate reviews across programs.
  • Collaborate with regional program managers and project controls teams.
  • Lead program-level reporting and governance activities.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and delivery innovations.
  • Capture and share lessons learned to enhance future project performance.

Qualifications :

 

  • Bachelors degree in construction management engineering architecture or a related technical field; a Masters degree is preferred and may substitute for some experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience managing capital projects with a strong track record across sectors such as commercial real estate healthcare and data centers.
  • Extensive experience in project controls including developing and managing budgets schedules forecasts and performance metrics on large-scale programs.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through all phases of project delivery from planning and design through construction and closeout.
  • Proficiency in project management and reporting tools such as Microsoft Office Google Workspace Tableau Power BI or similar platforms.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with experience presenting to senior stakeholders and managing complex stakeholder relationships.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction documentation procurement processes and standard contract forms (e.g. AIA FIDIC or similar) with experience in contract negotiation and administration.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments while maintaining high standards of quality and compliance.
  • A proactive solutions-oriented mindset with a focus on continuous improvement innovation and client satisfaction.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP AACE or equivalent are highly desirable and reflect a commitment to industry best practices.


Additional Information :


The salary range for this full-time role is $150K-$180K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range depending on candidates experience and qualifications.
