Other Conditions: Lecturer applicant pool for Academic Year 2025 - 2026. Positions are part-time temporary non-tenure and contingent upon course offerings sufficient student enrollment position clearance and availability of funding. Must be available to teach courses during the day evening weekend and/or via distance learning as needed.


Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Teach assigned courses in the discipline.
  2. Prepare course syllabus and reports related to teaching and student progress.
  3. Maintain a minimum of 1 office hour per week for each course taught.
  4. Work under supervision of discipline coordinator/division chairperson in integrating teaching efforts with other instructors in the discipline area.
  5. May include instructional assignments involving field-based laboratories with snorkeling or from a boat.Click here to enter duties and responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

  1. Masters in Marine Science or closely related discipline with successful comparable experience and/or scholarship in the area of marine science or any combination of education/training/experience that equates to this credential for purposes of providing instruction in the discipline.
  2. All minimum qualifications must be from a regionally accredited institution and met by the effective date of appointment.


Desirable Qualifications

  1. Teaching experience at the university level.
  2. Evidence of ability to teach effectively
