What You Will Do
- Conduct inspections of facilities construction sites outfalls and stormwater structures to ensure compliance with regulations such as NPDES MS4 permits and best management practices.
- Assist with implementation and updates of Storm water Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) and Storm water Management Plans (SWMP).
- Collect and document GPS coordinates for municipal storm water systems and collaborate with GIS specialists.
- Review and maintain permit documentation databases and compliance records (both digital and hard copy).
- Prepare regulatory reports conduct outreach and education and provide technical expertise during meetings or project reviews.
- Support implementation of impaired waters and industrial permit programs and contribute to annual reporting to regulatory agencies.
Youll Know Youre a Good Fit for This Position If You Have
- A degree in Environmental Science (or a related field) and at least 3 years of experience in water quality compliance.
- Familiarity with Georgia Erosion and Sediment Control Certifications (Level 1B and Level II) or the ability to obtain them.
- Experience with water sampling interpreting lab data and completing chain-of-custody documentation.
- Working knowledge of NPDES regulations and the Clean Water Act especially as applied in Georgia.
- Strong computer skills including MS Office databases SharePoint and GPS data collection tools.
- Physical ability to conduct day-long fieldwork-including walking varied terrain lifting heavy manhole covers and working in all weather.
- A valid drivers license and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).

Compensation: $62000-$72000/year based on experience
Travel: Minimal - occasional travel for training or certifications
