Job Description

Body Shop Manager - Internal

A Collision Center in the greater St. Louis Missouri areais seeking an experiencedBody Shop Manager-Internal.The Body Shop Manager will be compensated on a competitive pay scale according to experience. The Body Shop Manager - Internal Color is responsible forstaffing needs controlling costs customer retention maintaining good employee relationships achievement of objectives maintaining manufacturers compliance and Body Shop service records.


Other responsibilities include:

  • Maximize the efficiency revenue and productivity of the Body Shop department
  • Forecast goals and objectives for the department and strive to meet them
  • Provide the highest level of customer service to ensure the satisfaction of the customer and earn repeat business/referrals
  • Maintain great relationships with insurance companies (Preferred Provider status)
  • Maintain high-quality Body Shop repairs and minimize comebacks. Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality
  • Hire train motivate counsel and monitor the performance of all Body Shop department staff
  • Oversee Body Shop technicians performance and arrange training to keep best practices and skills current
  • Prepare schedules and plan staff rotations to ensure that Body Shop repairs are completed as quickly and efficiently as possible
  • Maintain supply and support systems including technical reference material workshop supplies and other materials
  • Ensure that all department personnel adhere to company policies understand and comply with federal state and local regulations


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of automotive Body Shop management experience
  • Current valid drivers license
  • Excellent management and supervisory abilities
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Proficient knowledge of dealership computer systems including CCC
  • Ability to motivate a team establish and set benchmarks for efficiency and profitability
