Description

Manager of Marketing and Community Engagement


People Incorporated Mental Health Services is seeking a Manager of Marketing and Community Engagement to lead our team of event marketing and community engagement professionals. This leadership position is responsible for driving diverse marketing and community engagement initiatives across varied platforms and constituencies to ensure the overall visibility and integrity of our organization.


Schedule: Full-Time Monday - Friday regular business hours.

Flexibility required to attend early morning evening and weekend events.


Location: People Incorporated Headquarters 3000 Ames Crossing Road Suite 600 Eagan MN 55121

Some hybrid work arrangements available but regular in-person presence is required.

Local travel to attend events may be required.


Hiring Range: $82000 - $87500 depending on qualifications.

Plus $1000 hiring bonus for external candidates.

Main Duties:

  • Plan organize direct and analyze overall marketing and community engagement event strategies and public information for the organization.
  • Oversee media buys advertorials advertising capital equipment and marketing materials subscriptions and contracts.
  • Drive and direct all community and program events that advocate for sponsorships fundraising education and awareness.
  • Oversee website design user experience accessibility search engine optimization and responsive design. Manage all digital e-marketing campaigns CRM and social media platforms
  • Steward and foster deep connections with external community partnerships to implement community engagement activities to meet organization goals mission and vision.
  • Lead manage and mentor marketing and community engagement staff and interns in accordance with the organizations culture framework and best practices.
  • Support Development events by the promotion of event sponsorships messaging and editing proofreading to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Work with Operations and the Training Institute to create and execute marketing campaigns to attract potential clients and increase brand awareness.
  • Lead the Artability Art program including public art workshops and internal integrated art therapy and the annual art show and sale.
Requirements

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelors Degree in communications Journalism Public Relations Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years prior marketing community engagement and communications experience that includes digital website social media and email marketing media agency management large events radio promotions and/or marketing involvement.
  • Minimum of 7 years professional writing and content development experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years management experience managing people teams and working with executive leadership.
  • In lieu of a Bachelors degree a minimum of 11 years experience in communications marketing or related field as described above.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Masters degree preferred.
  • Preference given to candidates with prior experience within a not-for-profit environment.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • Exceptional oral written interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated experience in writing feature stories or other written content that aligns with the strategic objectives of People Incorporated.
  • Sincere commitment to work collaboratively with all groups including staff board members volunteers donors program participants and other partners and supporters.
  • Self-starter able to work independently and entrepreneurial; enjoys creating and implementing new initiatives.
  • Proven design and creative direction experience. Knowledge and experience of AP style for editorial content management.
  • Successful implementer who can handle multiple key tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to understand complex topics and translate them for public expression
  • Strong service-oriented attitude and work ethic.
