Job Description:
Key Responsibilities
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) that will support and partner with others on the people relations team HRBPs and managers.
Manages and conducts HR Investigations for cases across enterprise and provide counsel and advice to HRBPs and managers on employee relations matters.
Develop and delivers training to managers employees and HRBPs.
Respond to alleged violation of rules regulations policies procedures and standards of conduct through the initiation of appropriate investigation procedures in partnership with Legal Compliance and local HR teams.
Supports in defining the standards and processes related to employee relations across the US.
Leads employee performance management process partnering with business leader and HR Business Partner.
Maintain knowledge of current and emerging laws and regulations and periodically reviews and updates applicable standards trends and issues affecting the company work environment and policies.
Demonstrate a deep knowledge of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). The Employee Relations Manager will independently lead the ADA interactive process with employees provide guidance and recommendations to HR partners and business leaders collaborate with appropriate third-party administrator to communicate outcomes conduct thorough risk assessments on attendance and leave of absence issues and apply expertise in employment law to analyze specific fact patterns and ensure compliance.
Coach advise and train management on the best practices for employee relations issues such as performance management FMLA attendance management and other employee relations concerns.
Investigate assist draft the companys position in various proceedings such as unemployment EEOC and/or other employee negotiations.
Knowledge of employee grievance process mediating as needed to provide guidance on disciplinary investigations.
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree in HR business or related field.
4 years of experience working in Employee Relations or Masters degree in Human Resourcesfrom an accredited college or university with minimum 2 years experience in Employee Relations may be considered.
Experience
Minimum of 4 years experience with concentration or focused experience in employee relations.
Evidence of career development and/or superior performance in previous roles.
Understanding of federal and state employment and labor laws.
Previous work experience in a manufacturing or distribution setting preferred.
Experience working within a matrixed organization with diverse salaried workforce.
Travel Requirements
Limited travel as needed likely less than 10%
