Job Description

Our Internal Sales Associate serves with professionalism and grace building strong relationships with key account contacts and aligning the specific needs of each account with the services and offerings of the Conference Center. This role is dedicated to delivering exceptional customer service ensuring that each event is tailored to meet the unique requirements of the client while upholding the mission and standards of the Conference Center. Through thoughtful communication and a keen understanding of client needs the Internal Sales Associate plays a pivotal role in creating memorable event experiences and fostering long-term partnerships. Client Relationship Building - Sales and Negotiation

Essential Job Duties:

  • Demonstrate a deep commitment to Jesus Christ and the mission of Ridgecrest Conference Center impacting lives for Gods glory through purposeful hospitality.
  • Foster genuine connections by focusing on the needs of others and developing sustainable personal relationships with clients and team members.
  • Maintain a Christ-focused attitude toward all individuals prioritizing service care and respect in every interaction.
  • Understand and apply the principles of managing large lodging facilities and event spaces ensuring successful event execution and client satisfaction.
  • Effectively manage personal activities to optimize time and effort ensuring smooth operations and timely event preparations.
  • Articulate ideas and information clearly when engaging with potential decision-makers influencers and clients to secure event bookings and communicate service offerings.
  • Proactively generate prospecting calls and outreach to target and key accounts. Meet or exceed personal sales goals set on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure all event details (e.g. space requirements food service schedules and unique requests) are communicated clearly and executed effectively.
  • Regularly confer with the Director to review account status assess sales performance and address any service or operational issues impacting client satisfaction or account relationships.
  • Actively participate in department activities including weekly sales meetings and represent the organization at conferences and trade shows to support sales initiatives and generate leads.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Strong dedication to Jesus Christ and alignment with the mission of Ridgecrest Conference Center fostering impactful experiences through purposeful hospitality. This position must affirm our Statement of Faith.
  • Must have a high school diploma
  • Must have a valid drivers license
  • A minimum of 2 years direct sales experience or related experience
  • A minimum of 1 year Hotel/Lodging Operation or Retail Merchandising Experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Hospitalilty Sales Marketing Business or a related field preferred with a minimum of 3 years of experience in sales is acceptable.
  • A minimum of 3 years in hotel operations retail direct selling customer service or account management with a proven track record of success.
  • Ability to accurately calculate and clearly communicate rates and pricing details to customers ensuring transparency and alignment with their event needs.
  • Consistently demonstrate enthusiasm and maintain interest when interacting with decision-makers and influencers fostering positive relationships.
  • Maintain precise and organized records of sales calls client interactions and follow-up actions to ensure smooth communication and ongoing sales efforts.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to hike to various locations on campus varying in degrees of steepness.
  • Ability to work on a computer for an extended period of time reviewing documents and forms
  • Ability to type accurately and efficiently
