Job Description
Project Kuiper is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Project Kuiper will help close the digital divide by delivering fast affordable broadband to a wide range of customers including consumers businesses government agencies and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity.
The eCommerce team is seeking engineers who are interested in building the next generation eCommerce platform that is highly scalable fully automated and always available.

Have you wanted an opportunity to develop the software applications and services for an advanced global communications service This role is for a Software Development Engineer who will design build and maintain components and services of Project Kuipers Customer eCommerce Services and interact with the core Kuiper Network.
About the team
Our team owns developing the architecture solutions & roadmap for managing the customer lifecycle for communications services; including identity and account management subscriber management services user provisioning billing and payments customer and technical support tools offer management tools and customer metrics and analytics.
- 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 2 years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language
- 3 years of full software development life cycle including coding standards code reviews source control management build processes testing and operations experience
- Bachelors degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
