Test Automation Engineer Contract AWS Applications London (Hybrid)
Initial 6 Months Inside IR35 Competitive Day Rate
Were hiring a Test Automation Engineer to join a fast-paced delivery team supporting the quality assurance of AWS-hosted applications. This contract role is ideal for someone with a strong automation background and experience working in regulated environments such as banking finance or insurance.
The role is based in London with flexibility for hybrid working and falls inside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
Design develop and maintain automated test suites for cloud-native applications hosted on AWS
Perform functional integration and regression testing across distributed systems
Collaborate with developers DevOps and product teams to identify test coverage and automation opportunities
Contribute to continuous improvement of test processes and frameworks
Support testing within CI/CD pipelines
Required Skills & Experience:
5 years experience in software testing with a focus on test automation
Proven experience testing applications deployed on AWS
Strong hands-on experience with automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium Cypress or similar)
Proficient in scripting or programming for automation (e.g. Python JavaScript or Java)
Experience with API testing performance testing tools and test data management
Familiarity with modern development and delivery practices (Agile CI/CD)
Experience working in regulated sectors (e.g. banking finance or insurance) is highly desirable
