Staff Nurse - Ophthalmology Ward

Full time (37.5 Hours flexibility required)

We are inviting applications from Registered Nursesto join the Ophthalmology Ward based at The Cherwell Hospitalin Banbury Oxfordshire.

We are seeking enthusiastic and experienced team players to join our Ward nursing team in delivering a high standard of clinical care whilst ensuring patient safety dignity and and excellent communication skills are essential and a willingness to take on additional roles and extended skills to enhance the provision of patient care are also required.

This is a busy department so the ability to work under pressure and maintain a good sense of humour is successful candidate must be highly motivated and able to work flexible hours.

The role

In this role you will be an integral part of a team who are committed to delivering the highest quality clinical outcomes where you will be valued for your skills and expertise. You will play a key role within a fast-paced environment where the team will rely on knowledge and experience.

What you will bring with you

  • Registered nursing qualification or equivalent

  • Registered with the NMC

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently as required

  • Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the business

  • Demonstrated customer service skills

  • Demonstrated computer skills

  • Evidence of continued development (essential)

  • Private healthcare experience

  • Have experience within Ophthalmology or an eager interest to learn and develop skills in this field.

The Cherwell Hospital located in Banbury Oxfordshire was purpose built in 2006 and has been designed to combine an exceptional standard of patient accommodation with the technical equipment and facilities that modern medicine demands. The Hospital has a 40-bed inpatient unit consisting of single or twin rooms and a day case facility. All rooms which have twin beds are single sex units ensuring privacy and dignity at all times. The Hospital is equipped to undertake a large range of procedures treatments and investigations. We have three fully equipped theatres with a five-bedded recovery unit. Other outpatient facilities include physiotherapy pharmacy radiology ultrasound and MRI
