We have more than 400 medical providers and 900 Dignity Health Medical Foundation employees providing a wide range of services to thousands of patients in the Sacramento area and to our affiliated local Dignity Health hospitals (Mercy General Hospital Mercy San Juan Medical Center Mercy Hospital of Folsom and Methodist Hospital of Sacramento).
As a strategic leader The Director of People and Culture plays a critical role in Mercy Medical Group achieving its mission vision and strategic goals. Reporting to and working alongside the Chief People and Culture Officer the incumbent of this role will be a partner in seeing the world through our clinicians experience with an ongoing focus to strengthen and nurture the employee-employer relationship in all stages of the employee life cycle. The Director-People and Culture aligns business objectives with clinicians and management in designated markets and/or divisions. The Director-People and Culture serves as an evidence-based consultant to executive leadership related to organizational goals and strategy on Human Resource related issues including but not limited to employee/physician relations labor relation considerations performance management training policy application organizational development workforce planning ADA interactive process retention and compensation. The Director-People and Culture will lead the design and integration of key strategic initiatives within their respective area of responsibilities. The Director-People and Culture will proactively communicate needs to the HR department colleagues within the Centers of Expertise (CoE) and management. The Director People and Culture seeks to develop integrated solutions and is a change agent and champion for new HR initiatives and programs that improve the lives of employees of Mercy Medical Group. The Director-People and Culture directs the HR team and formulates partnerships across the HR functional areas and CoE to deliver value-added service to management and employees that reflect the strategic business objectives of Mercy Medical Group.
