Job Description

Come join the Murdock Auto Team! We are looking for a Service Administrator/Receptionist to join our Lindon Locations.

This is a FT position hourly wage $15-$18 DOE

The Service Administrator is responsible for ensuring repairs are completed and closing customer repair orders. Handles all monies received from cash customers and reconciles the daily service deposit. Answers overflow phone calls in the service department to assist in providing excellent customer service.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Perform work at a level that supports Service Customer Satisfaction Index rating at or above that of the manufacturer region or dealership average.
  • Review repair orders written for proper completion accuracy and legibility according to the applicable policies and procedures manual.
  • Return improperly completed repairs to the Service Advisor originating the document for correction and/or completion as necessary.
  • Determine and enter the applicable labor operation codes failure codes parts stamps and/or other administrative data required and enter them onto the repair orders.
  • Interpret and translate Technicians comments into damage codes/operation codes.
  • Ensures all correct parts have been charged and if necessary re-priced.
  • Flag the appropriate Technicians for the hours earned on the operations they performed according to the manufacturers policies and procedures.
  • Issue receipts refunds credits or change due to customers.
  • Assist in answering overflow calls to prioritize our customers service repair needs.
  • Work alongside the Warranty Administrator to check repair orders against the vehicles service history to avoid making duplicate claims and Technician receiving double payment.
  • Assist Service Advisors with closing of open warranty repair orders.
  • Assist management with special projects audits reports etc. as requested.
  • Any other duties assigned by the Service Manager or Corporate Management.

Physical Demands:

  • Sitting and Desk Work: The majority of the work involves sitting at a desk working on computers entering data and handling paperwork for long periods.
  • Standing and Walking: Occasional walking and standing may be required especially when interacting with customers managing paperwork or filing documents.
  • Lifting: There may be some light lifting (up to 20 pounds) when handling files or organizing documentation.
  • Repetitive Movements: Frequent use of a computer keyboard and mouse for data entry and document processing.

Attention to Detail: A significant part of the role requires focusing on the accuracy of paperwork which involves meticulous attention to detail
