Principal Systems Engineer - Integration & Test Lead - Embedded Communications (Onsite)

The Secure Subsystems department is responsible for the design test and certification of cross-domain technologies and cryptographic products that equip our warfighters to thrive in todays multi-domain battlespace. Our department collaborates with portfolio teams across the organization to help capture new business and create security-hardened solutions that address our customers demanding needs.

The Cross-Domain Solutions Engineering team seeks a Integration and Test lead with a passion for innovation and the drive to see new technology and capability matured into fielded solutions. The Integration and Test lead is a leader who is responsible for ensuring the successful verification and validation of the Cross-Domain Solution. P. This role will contribute to a team responsible for systems and cyber security engineering tasks related to our next-generation security-enabled mission computing crypto and cross-domain technologies maturing products from low TRL through aprogram of record accreditation and factory production.

We are looking for an experienced engineer who will lead the development of the Continuous Development / Continuous Integration environment and be a force multiplier for the Cross-Domain Solution test team. What YOU will do:

  • Perform analysis architecture and design primarily focusing on the Integration and Testing phases of systems development.
  • Perform functional analysis trade studies requirements allocation for Integration and Test
  • Perform technical planning system integration verification and validation cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total system solutions.
  • Lead Test Readiness Reviews with Customer and Certification Agencies
  • Collaborate with Systems Architects Product Owners Chief Engineers to generate Integration and Test Environments and Plans
  • Lead Verification Validation and Qualification efforts in both Unclassified and Classified environments.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience ORAdvanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience OR In absence of a degree 12 years of relevant experience is required. Engineering/Other Technical Positions: Bachelors degree (typically in Science Technology Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)) and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued secret security clearance is required prior to start date
  • Experience with the systems development process including requirements capture design integration and verification/validation
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence.
  • Experience working in air-gapped CUI or secure lab environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the Scaled Agile framework.
  • Experience with automated software build test and deployment.
  • Experience with CI/CD Pipeline tools.
  • Exceptionally strong communication skills experience presenting test metrics to program leadership.
  • Experienced with generating Integration and Test Plans for Embedded Systems and Digital Hardware.
  • Experience with tools such as DOORS CAMEO or similar.
  • Experience working with a certification authority.

The salary range for this role is 101000 USD - 203000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
