Position Title:Triple Practitioner
Reports to: Triple P Supervisor
Program: Positive Parenting Program (Triple P)
The Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is an evidence-based suite of interventions designed to strengthen parenting skills build confidence and enhance parent-child relationships. Triple P provides practical strategies that help parents respond calmly and constructively to their childs needs supporting emotional regulation healthy development and positive attachment. Through this model caregivers create safe stable and nurturing environments where children can thrive and grow.
The Triple P Practitioner delivers the Triple P curriculum to parents and caregivers of children ages 012. Services are provided either individually in the home (Standard format) or through group sessions in community settings. The Practitioner equips caregivers with tools to strengthen parenting skills foster social connections enhance emotional competence and deepen understanding of child development and safety. The Practitioner also conducts family assessments to inform service planning and works in partnership with the Care Manager and the Division of Child Protection and Permanency (DCP&P) to ensure comprehensive coordinated support.
Maintain a caseload of up to 8 families receiving the Triple P Standard format
Facilitate group sessions for 812 parents three times annually
Schedule and complete weekly sessions with flexibility to meet family availability
Build rapport with families using the Triple P framework and establish a safe respectful group setting
Support families in applying parenting strategies and celebrating progress
Partner with DCP&P and referred families to meet service planning goals
Collaborate with the Care Manager to ensure families are connected to needed community resources
Promote Triple P services within the community especially among early childhood and parenting networks
Attend regular case conferences with the Supervisor and Care Manager to align on family support strategies
Demonstrate ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Complete all required Triple P and agency/DCF trainings
Successfully pass Triple P practitioner accreditation
Participate in reflective supervision fidelity monitoring and model-aligned coaching
Stay informed on parenting education trends and best practices
Deliver direct services while continually developing skills aligned with the Triple P model
Conduct comprehensive needs assessments and safety evaluations at program entry
Develop individualized Family Service Plans in collaboration with caregivers
Use session checklists to ensure fidelity to the Triple P model
Maintain accurate timely documentation in agency and program data systems
This position requires flexibility in scheduling to meet the needs of families including availability for evening and weekend sessions. Services may be delivered in the home or at alternative family-identified locations. Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally are essential.
Education:
Bachelors degree in social work or related field and at least 1 year of experience working with families facing challenges such as trauma mental health issues substance use domestic violence homelessness or child abuse/neglect
OR
High school diploma or GED and a minimum of 2 years of direct experience working with children/youth or equivalent lived experience within the child welfare system
Additional Requirements:
Valid drivers license (Required)
Knowledge of early childhood development and sensitivity to the needs of at-risk families and children ages 012
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage caseloads schedules and documentation efficiently
Caregivers with lived experience must demonstrate strong advocacy skills and the ability to model positive interaction with the child welfare system
