Job Description
POSITION SUMMARY
Milwaukee Rep is seeking motivated part-time General Maintenance Technicians to assist and work alongside the Chief Engineer and Engineers to ensure seamless operation of building systems in a dynamic regional theaterone that blends historic architecture with new construction.
General Duties and Responsibilities Include:
- Basic mechanical duties including minor repairs.
- Ensure compliance with building codes safety regulations and company policies.
- Complete minor construction fabrication and painting work as assigned by Chief Engineer.
- Conduct facility walk-throughs identifying and assisting in maintenance needs.
- Load unload and relocate furniture equipment fixtures and materials.
- Maintain the grounds including snow removal.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and coordinate support when required.
- Support task delegation and other duties as assigned by Chief Engineer.
Requirements
REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Ability to work evenings and weekends in addition to typical working hours.
- Basic mechanical and computer skills.
- Proven quick learner who adapts rapidly and applies new skills with confidence.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to collaborate with individuals across diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to pass a background check in accordance with local and/or federal laws.
Physical Requirements:
- Consistently works in high-temperature environments and frequently exposed to loud sounds in close proximity.
- Frequently moves up to 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to work comfortably on elevated surfaces (roof) and climb a ladder up to 30 feet is required for this position.
- Must be able to maintain a standing position more than 80% of shift and occasionally work in a prone or kneeling position.
- Able to regularly ascend/descend stairs.
Salary Description
$16.00 - $19.00 an hour
