Job Description
To achieve our mission we also need to safeguard our platform against financial crime and ensure our customers money are safe. The Verification Tooling team plays a critical role in this by building tools that empower thousands of Wise Servicing agents from Singapore to Austin to effectively verify customers and mitigate risk securely. These tools function as an adaptable platform allowing other Wise product teams to evolve them to their specific needs while providing a standardized solution for scalable operations.
We are developing the infrastructure that provides teams at Wise with insights into their operational cost and bottlenecks on their operations processes. This empowers them to enhance the product reducing Wises cost for customers.

Were a cross-functional team of backend frontend engineers working hand-in-hand with a Product Manager Analyst and Designer. Together we deliver adaptable impactful solutions as a platform for Wise Servicing Agents and Product Teams. Collaboration is at the heart of what we dowe value ownership knowledge sharing and a commitment to building stable scalable systems while embracing fast-paced learning and iteration.
What does success look like
- Youll be having a real world impact by building back office solutions that will enable Wise Servicing Agents across the world to verify Wise customers and keep their money safe.
Youll have onboarded and found your place through understanding your team and squad vision and how you can contribute
Youll understand how our values can help you guide your work
Youll understand the reasons behind bottlenecks in Servicing processes and and how to go about solving them
Youll understand our agents and the impact our product makes in their work
Qualifications :
What do you need
6 years of experience Java or other JVM based language experience with Spring framework and deep understanding of JDBC and database internals
A track record of writing clean testable maintainable code and a strong belief in best practices like code reviews open feedback and continuous improvement.
Experience with web development technologies such as REST APIs microservices distributed systems and CI/CD pipelines.
A strong product mindset and passion for user experience you prioritise work with the customers in mind and make data-driven decisions to fix customer pain-points
The ability to design technical solutions that balance latency throughput and scalability.
A passion for learning new technologies tools and patterns to solve problems effectively.
Close collaboration with product managers data analysts engineers and other product teams is a must have and is something to expect to happen on a daily basis.
Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical audience
Additional Information :
Starting salary: 66600 - 82800 EUR
Relocation to Tallinn is available for this role
