A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
A day in the life of an Accounts Payable Specialist at an orthopedic organization involves processing inbound vendor invoices to prepare for payment. The Accounts Payable Specialist will verify invoices are complete with appropriate documents attached along with manager approvals GL account code them and enter in our Acumatica Accounting System and process weekly Accounts Payable batch payments. Attention to detail and proficiency in using accounting software are crucial for success in this role.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN ACCOUNTS PAYABLE SPECIALIST
High school diploma or equivalent
Associates certification in Accounting or equivalent experience
3-5 years experience in Accounts Payable required.
Ability to work with meticulous attention to accuracy and detail in a fast-paced environment.
Self-motivated good initiative to complete tasks without close supervision able to work well independently as well as within a team
Strong quantitative and analytical skills
organizational skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
WORK SCHEDULE
Workdays of an Accounts Payable Specialist are Monday through Friday 8:00AM to 5:00PM with an hour lunch or 8:00AM to 4:30PM with a 30-minute lunch. Additional flexibility may be offered after the training period and based on business needs.
