PRN Opening for a Therapy Technician!
The Therapy Technician functions under the general supervision of the Director of Therapy Services and under the direct supervision of the Therapist and when appropriate through the Lead Therapy Technician. The Therapy Technician is responsible for preparing treatment areas cleaning treatment areas positioning patients procurement and inventory of supplies transporting positioning and in general assisting patients and therapists in the successful completion of the treatment plan.
Responsibilities include contributing to cost effectiveness of services and programs provided by the department; communicating the employees observations and suggestions related to opportunities for improvement; and maintaining positive relations with all customers.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Current Basic Life Support/CPR card.
Job Duties:
- Transports patients to and from the Therapy Department
- Prepares patient for prescribed treatment and assists professional staff with patient treatment.
- Communicates with patients families significant others and members of the healthcare team to promote maximum benefits from care.
- Obtains equipment materials and supplies from storage areas or appropriate department and prepares them for use.
- Maintains the department in a clean and orderly condition.
