The North Carolina Department of Revenue is recruiting for a Distribution Specialist I in our Financial Services Department. The primary responsibility of this position is to prepare monthly quarterly or annual transfers of tax revenues to other state agencies as required by NC General Statutes. This position will perform procedures to ensure accurate & timely processing of returns and/or payments to the departments tax system. This position also reviews Public Educational and Governmental (PEG) Channel Certification Forms received from local governments annually to determine eligibility for PEG Channel funding. Position provides assistance to the local governments and qualifying municipalities of North Carolina for the monthly distribution of sales and use tax as well as various quarterly distribution of other taxes.

Bachelor degree in Business/Public Administration Economics Accounting or related field from an appropriately accredited institution and three years of experience in tax accounting and auditing work; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
