Arapahoe Community Colleges Center for Innovation in Teaching and Learning (CITL) is seeking a collaborative and creative Learning Designer to join our this role youll partner with faculty and staff to design inclusive student-centered learning experiences across face-to-face online and hybrid formats. Youll play a key role in enhancing teaching and learning by integrating evidence-based practices innovative technologies and thoughtful curriculum designall in support of student success and faculty growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Bachelorsdegree or higherin Instructional Design Higher Educationor related field from an accredited college or university.
Two (2) years of relevant experience.
Adaptableand willing to learn new skills.
Knowledge ofhow people learn andits implications for effectiveteaching practices.
Knowledge of learning theories instructional design models and pedagogical frameworks.
Familiarity with digital accessibility and Universal Design for Learning.
Experiencedesigning anddeveloping courses.
One(1) year of experience using Desire2Learn (D2L) and/or other Learning Management Systems(LMS).
Strong consultation communicationand interpersonal skills.
Ability to troubleshoot resolve issuesand solve problemspromptly andeffectively.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to workindependently andcollaboratively on a team and adapt in a fast-paced highly productive environment.
Masters degree or higherin Instructional Design Higher Educationor related field from an accredited college or university.
Experience teaching within a higher education context.
Experience working with a diverse faculty and student population.
Experiencedesigning andfacilitatingfaculty development workshops on a range of evidence-based teaching topics.
Experience using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA with course content.
Experience working collaboratively with faculty and instructorstodesign and developcourses.
Experiencewithproject management.
Knowledge of current trends incommunity collegeeducation.
