JOB SUMMARY
Compiles scans processes and maintains medical records in accordance with medical administrative ethical legal and regulatory requirements. Processes all requests for confidential patient information. Adheres to guidelines that pertain to releasing confidential patient information and drug and alcohol abuse as well as all HIPAA laws. Performs system checks on the EMPI data and maintains accuracy of healthcare data through chart corrections. Acts as a HIM liaison to IT on system requirements/troubleshooting for Epic portals and MyChart and assists in provider suspension process. Identifies training opportunities and may assist with training. Monitors regulatory items from The Joint Commission the State of Missouri and HIDI.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Type: Full Time (80 hours per 2 week pay period with benefits)
Typical hours of this position: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Certification & Licensures:

Experience:
Minimum of three years of experience in a Health Information Management department required.
