Join our team and what well accomplish togetherWe are seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join the TELUS Health finance
team. Principal tasks will include monthly account reconciliation and analysis of
revenue accounts. The Financial Analyst will be a trusted advisor to the business
providing critical insights and guidance to ensure compliance with our revenue
recognition policies. The Financial Analyst will report to the Manager responsible for
Revenue Accounting.
What youll do
Month-end close activity including journal entries account reconciliations and
account analysis
Perform key Accounts Receivable deliverables including AFDA analysis AR Aging
analysis Writeoffs and AR account reconciliations.
Work in a collaborative and constructive manner with Commercial Finance team and
cross functional partners.
Assist in developing and implementing month-end close process improvements.
Assist in quarterly reviews and annual external audits by preparing working papers
and liaising with auditors as required.
Perform ad-hoc projects reports and analysis as required (e.g. supporting tax
inquiries budget support etc.).
What youll bring
University Degree preferably in Accounting Business Administration or Commerce.
Exposure to IFRS 9 (either practical experience or through the completion of CPA
courses).
Advanced Excel and data mining skills (pivot tables lookup functions manipulating
large volumes of data) and strong knowledge of other MS Office applications.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Flexibility and ability to meet tight deadlines.
Dedicated team player who takes ownership of tasks assigned demonstrates
initiative and independence.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple assignments.
Great-to-have
Experience with SAP or Workday ERPs considered an asset
